Set on a steeply sloping site, this contemporary town garden was designed as a sequence of terraces, turning a challenging change in level into one of the defining features of the landscape.
Closest to the house, generous terraces create spaces for cooking, dining and entertaining, framed by richly layered planting. Broad steps lead through the garden to a central lawn and secluded swimming area below, while structural hedging and retained mature trees give each level its own sense of enclosure. The result is a garden that feels connected despite its challenging levels, with each terrace offering a different way to experience the landscape.
